Victorian Dreams, Modern Hustle

As a mother, wife, and working professional turned venue owner, my days are often a dance between nurturing my family and nurturing my dream. Owning and growing a Victorian-inspired wedding venue in the heart of Fairborn has been one of the greatest adventures of my life. In this blog, I want to share the reality behind the lace and chandeliers, the late nights, the lessons learned, the unexpected wins, and the struggles that stretched me.
I’ll write about the moments that made me pause in gratitude: the brides who found ‘their place’ at The Main House, the local vendors who became friends, and the community that rallied around my vision. I’ll also share what hasn’t worked, the trial-and-error of being an entrepreneur, and how motherhood and business ownership sometimes collide (and sometimes beautifully complement each other).
This blog isn’t just about running a venue, it’s about finding joy in the balancing act, embracing imperfection, and celebrating the people and stories that make this journey worth it. Think of it as a conversation with your best friend over coffee, with honesty, kindness, and a little humor, because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that every misstep is just another step toward growth.
